How Much is Enough?
0Understanding what God is asking for
When it comes to giving, the question “how much is enough?” is quite common. Unfortunately, this question reveals a stingy heart attitude towards giving—something that we should seek to overcome because, ultimately, the biblical answer to this question is: 100%.
In the New Testament, Jesus makes it clear that God wants us to give everything: “in the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:33). Similarly, Jesus said, “whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it” (Mark 8:35).
These commands go far above and beyond the Old Testament law, in which God required 10% of each person’s income (Numbers 18:26). In fact, Jesus scorned the Pharisees who carefully tithed 10%, but failed to love God (Luke 11:42).
What, then, does God want?
Like the poor widow, God desires giving that requires personal sacrifice and faith (Mark 12:43). He desires us to care for the poor (1 John 3:16-17). Most importantly, however, God wants us to love and to follow Him—to be obedient to give anything, even our lives, if He asks (Luke 18:22).
How does this knowledge challenge you to give more of yourself in your daily living?
Reaching Students in Quebec
0Give Every Day is absolutely fantastic because it has the potential to empower
people to do the work of the Kingdom. This program is a way to respond in a practical manner to the great commission.
With Give Every Day, it could mean that each year, hundreds of kids and youth in Quebec would have an opportunity to hear the gospel for the first time. That would make a huge impact in the province of Quebec! Give Every Day would soften the challenge of fundraising and leave more time for field ministry directly with the youth.

If Give Every Day becomes a reality, it would mean that money could stop being the big challenge that it is now for us and we would be empowered to reach out more quickly and with more efficiency.

But What Do I Have To Offer?
0Understanding what we have
God has equipped each one of us with unique abilities that allow us to serve others in invaluable ways. Whether rich or poor, young or old, we all have something to offer.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever” (1 Peter 4: 10-11, TNIV).
What unique gifts has God given you?
Have you been challenged to use them in new ways recently?
Consider taking a “spiritual gifts” inventory to identify your unique areas of gifting, if you are not sure of what they are.
