Dream Becoming Reality in Zambia
Guest post from Don & Marie-Jose Mann
A dream became reality this past June as RTC came alongside Mount Zion Church in Mufulira, Zambia to develop a micro-enterprise program suited to their vision and location. Mount Zion is the first church that was granted permission by the city council to build within city limits, because of their vision to build a community center. It will include an AIDS awareness program, literacy studies, and a sewing center. The church/community centre is being constructed across from one of the largest mines in Zambia. Donations from individuals in Canada are making all of this possible.
In a recent conversation with Carrefour Chrétien, one of our supporting churches in Quebec City, they shared how the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada “Give Every Day” incentive has propelled their missions giving to new levels.
People have caught the vision of what the equivalent of the cost of a Tim Horton’s coffee can do toward impacting the world through missions giving. Get involved and give everyday toward the cause of encouraging, equipping and empowering our world with Christ’s love.
